-Provide frontline customer service

Date: 16,17 December 2009 (Wednesday and Thursday)
Time: 10pm to 5pm
Venue: Central Lending Library (B1 of National Library, located at Bugis)
Meeting Point: Pls look 4 me outside Meeting Room 1...
What to do: U will be helping out to do some pasting, packing, writing, registering etc...

2.SBPL Housekeeping and other duties*
Date: Every Weekdays

What to do: To assist in the collection of sound recordings/ music scores/ concert progs etc. as well as to record details of the donated item. This opportunity is opened to all FOLs aged 15 years old and above. Briefing details will be sent to you soon.
What to wear: Full Sch U or Home Clothes (Smart n Neat)... No slippers, shorts, mini skirts or skimpy clothings r allowed!!!
5. Well-wishers for Singapore @Woodlands Regional Library*
Date: Every day until 20 December 2009
Time: 12pm to 6pm Venue: Woodlands Regional Library (located near to Causeway Point) Meeting Point: Pls look farina/ other staff at Level 3, Customer Service Counter...
What to do: The Wellwisher's Project is here again and we need volunteers to assist in manning the wishing stations. Your duty involves inflating the wishing spheres with the electric pump provided and encouraging the public to sign their well wishes on the spheres. Please remember that you are in an ambassadorial role and would be required to dress appropriately. Smart casual dress code is highly encouraged. Please bring along a jacket if you are prone to the possible low temperatures in the library. Thanks :)!

What to do: To assist in the Children Program. You will need to render your assistance to the librarians who organize the program. Please be in appropriate attire (Smart casual eg: T-shirt and Jeans. Covered shoes are compulsory No sleeveless, No Slippers or Sandals & No shorts). For further queries, please contact Officer-in-charge.

A guidelines handout will be emailed to you upon signing up. For attire code: please note that we DO NOT allow slippers, shorts, miniskirts or skimpy clothing. Please bring along a jacket if you are prone to the possible low temperatures in the library. Thanks! :)

What to do: This storytelling training session is compulsory for all FOLs interested in conducting storytelling sessions at the libraries. You will learn the techniques of telling stories, the difference between storyreading and storytelling, voice projection, the different books you can use as well as props you can include to make your sessions livelier!
